Consistent and productive communication sessions with your clients are absolutely crucial for a positive wedding planning experience. Monthly meetups (whether by phone, but best in-person) are so important for a relationship with your clients.
It’s a time to check in to see where they need some guidance, let them know what you are doing for them, find out where they need some reassurance, and let them know the next steps.
I find that face-to-face meetings build trust and confidence in the client/planner relationship. Much more is shared between each other, which only helps you work better together. You will get a much better feel of their personalities, likes and dislikes, struggles and what they need and expect from you.
Here are three questions to prompt conversations:
- What is the most exciting thing about wedding planning right now?
- What is most challenging for you at this point in time?
- How can I be of service?
Keep the communication open. Remember that we are professionals and they hired us for a reason. Our couples need our guidance and direction in their wedding planning journey.
