We have written several articles about the importance of having a Blog. We’ve given you Blogging Tips, the Top 5 Reasons, Blogging Keyword Tips, a Year’s Worth (116!) of Blog titles, and so many more. Why? Blogs are an essential part of digital marketing for every type of business. A blog is unmatched when a wedding business wants to connect with leads, prospects, and clients. You can establish your expertise, show your experience and education, and give potential clients an idea of your personality. Here is yet another reason your wedding business should have a blog. It’s one that you may have overlooked, and a massive benefit of blogging: the impact a blog can have on your Search Engine Optimization efforts.
Organic Search Results
Blogging can enhance any website’s organic search results through regular postings and natural keyword placement. There is no more potent way to market your website for free, than by blogging with natural keywords.
You will gain more website visitors, and boost your site’s ranking in search engines by posting weekly blogs containing your target keywords.
Niche Keywords
One key to gaining more traffic from keywords is to use ‘niche’ keywords. These are keywords or keyword phrases that are searched less often, but that have less competition. This means you may be able to rank much higher for these keywords. An example: The keyword “TikTok” is undoubtedly searched for often, but there are millions of websites optimized around this keyword. However, a keyword phrase like “TikTok marketing strategy” would have fewer competitors. The longer keyword also increases the likelihood that your blog contains precisely what the visitor wants.
Quick Pick-up by Search Engines
The fantastic thing about blogs is they are often picked up by search engines almost as quickly as one posts to them, making them an even more powerful tool for SEO purposes. Getting picked up in search engines can lead to increased traffic heading to your site daily. Top keyword placers use blogs to retain large amounts of traffic to their sites just by incorporating a variety of niche keywords into their posts. Have you ever looked up a recipe and wondered why you had to scroll through a novel? The author was trying to pack in keywords that the search engines would rank well.
Improved Quality Score
Another way blogging can help your site’s search engine ranking is by the quality score. Most search engines, including Google, rank sites with a quality score; the more unique, user-provided content, the higher the quality score appears. The quality score will most likely be low if a website is just a sales page and a few pictures. But if a site has a blog with fresh, weekly posts, the quality score becomes much better, and your site gets ranked much higher when people are searching for your niche or keyword terms.
If you haven’t considered a blog for marketing your wedding business, it’s probably time you thought about blogging from the SEO perspective. You’ve got nothing to lose but organic website visitors.
