There’s a saying we love in the wedding industry:
“If you think hiring a professional is expensive, wait until you hire an amateur.” — Red Adair
We could talk for days about the cost of not hiring a certified professional: lost deposits, preventable mistakes, poor vendor choices, unnecessary stress, but today, let’s focus on what couples can expect to invest when hiring a wedding planner in Canada right now.
Why Wedding Planner Pricing Varies
The average cost of wedding planning services varies across Canada depending on:
- Regional demand
- Cost of doing business (permits, insurance requirements, staffing, etc.)
- Experience level of the wedding planner
- Wedding complexity, logistics, and number of events
- Whether design services are included
Every planner runs their business differently, but these updated ranges reflect what couples can reasonably expect in 2026.
