This Valentine’s Day is a little different than years past. However, we can still celebrate with those who are nearest and dearest to us.
We decided to put together a Galantine’s celebration at the WPIC office. This included my daughter, niece and sister.
I wanted to have a design focal point, so I put on my creativity pants and tackled a DIY heart-shaped backdrop. This Valentine’s heart was fairly easy to make and wasn’t a big cost. I really love how it turned out! (This project was inspired by Bri Emery of Design Love Fest.)
Since we are in lockdown, I ordered my materials from Home Depot and used curbside pickup.
To create this backdrop, you will need:
A roll of chicken wire
3 pieces of 1” x 2” wood, 6ft tall
Drill and power saw to cut the wood
Long nails
Red or pink napkins ( I bought 200 in red just to be safe from The Dollar Store and Walmart. I only used half of them)
Staple gun
