The WPIC Jamaica Wedding Professionals Mix & Mingle at Borghinvilla

Have you heard about it? The Jamaican Chapter of The Wedding Planners Institute of Canada (WPIC) hosted another wonderful event within the warm tropical, luxurious island of Jamaica.  The beautiful Borghinvilla Wedding Venue (Discovery Bay, St Ann) was our host. The Jamaica Wedding Professional Mingle, was held under the empowering theme “WPIC building a better Wedding Industry within Jamaica”.

Despite the heavy shower of rain that had blessed the land that day, our cocktail party was on fire! Curious and eager Wedding Vendors were able to freely network; learn more about WPIC, share best practices with other Wedding Professionals; make much needed connections, as well as, received professional headshots courtesy of the Dream Team Trio: Manuela Stefan Photography, Wedding Giggles Jamaica, and Brian Nejedly Photo.

Through the dynamic partnership of the WPICC Blair Team from Unique Bridal and Tux, with WPICC Jennifer Borgh, owner of Borghinvilla Wedding Venue and Jennifer Borgh Events, there were several exciting and captivating sessions to be executed on that day. It was through conversations Jennifer had initiated and invited our Keynote Speaker, Jerron Britton (Jamaica Tourist Board) who spoke about “…Jamaica [being] the leading Caribbean’s Wedding and Honeymoon” and shared additional eye-opening facts and beneficial information. There were prizes, surprises and indeed it was a beautiful event as we herald the start of the Engagement Season.

Attendees were enticed with the musical selection from the electrifying DJ Kevan Stewart of Jamaica Wedding DJ. Also there was a ‘Shameless Plug’ segment that allowed an open microphone opportunity for Attendees to candidly speak on their business.

The atmosphere was poised for optimistic fun, relaxation, great food and passionate Jamaican music. Moreover, Attendees were treated to viewing as well as learning about the three (3) lovely venue décor step-ups which allowed Wedding Planner enthusiasts to garner prospective, ideas, strategies as we move forward as a united group. Those who braved the rain were pleasantly surprise and appreciated the networking opportunities.

Moreover, we shared vital wedding business strategies written by WPIC Co-founders, Danielle Andrews and Tracey Manailescu, entitled “10 Tips to improve your Wedding Business & Book More Clients”. These vital tips were treasured and provided a ‘tip of the iceberg’ as to what can be expected when one becomes certified and join a reputable Alumni of experience, dedicated, talented, and super helpful Professionals. Moreover, Attendees had expressed an interest in the classes scheduled for May 6th and 7th, 2017 (for Kingston) and were encouraged to visit www.WPIC.ca for more information and registration.
