Below are some of the most common branding mistakes that I have seen. Take a look, and let us know which ones resonate most with you in the comments below.
Not Having a Unique Selling Proposition
Unique Selling Proposition Formula = I help (ideal client) to (achieve X) so that they can (outcome).
Are you offering the same thing as everyone else? What makes you different? Why should couples choose you? Make it known.
Not Recognizing Brand Aging Signs
Do you have an outdated logo and website design? Have your services and prices changed? Staying current and relevant is very important.
Not Connecting With Your Target Audience
If you don’t connect with your potential clients in a personal way, you’ll fall behind your competitors that do so.
Targeting the Wrong Audience
Are you speaking to any and every couple? The pain points of each niche are very different. Speak to your dream client each and every time you post, write an article on your blog or share photos. This builds trust and value. Your followers will relate and appreciate it.
Faking It Until You Make It
Let your brand develop naturally and organically. Buying followers, posting fake reviews and promising services that you can’t deliver on will eventually catch up to you.
Copying Your Competitors
Not only will you upset that business owner, but he/she will tell others. It’s great to see what others are doing well, but not to copy their brand and hard work. Create your own magic!
“To be successful at anything, you must simply be what most people aren’t: Consistent”
Not Posting Consistently
Posting every few weeks and then stopping for months at a time looks scattered. Your followers will wonder if you are still in business. When was the last time you wrote an article for your blog?
