Visit Portugal and Travel Trade Market Place invited The Wedding Planners Institute of Canada‘s co-founder, Tracey Manailescu to explore more of what Portugal offers wedding clients for destination weddings and honeymoons. TAP Air Portugal was the flight sponsor.
We were wined, dined and shown some beautiful venues in Porto, Portugal.
After the conference and meetings portion was over (I had 23 meetings in total), we each chose a different region in Portugal to explore for a few more days. I chose the Algarve region. This was sponsored by the Algarve Tourism Bureau (more on that below).
Our closing party in Porto was at the beautiful Palácio da Bolsa
We flew to the Algarve bright and early, and went straight to breakfast at Loule Park and Algarve Craft & Food Workshops where we made a memory stick, a palm vroom and fig stars.
We had an amazing site visit and lunch at EPIC Sana. Weirdly, the best carrots I’ve ever eaten. #truth
For dinner, we had an incredible dinner at Veneza Restaurant. Such wonderul hospitality along with non-stop wine and food!
The next day we walked along the Ponta da Piedade trail and visited Lagos. We had the traditional local dish, Cataplana.
We had a site visit and bottle-your-own wine blending experience at Quinta dos Vales. I was fascinated by this winery. It’s perfect for events, rehearsal dinners or smaller destination weddings. A little quirky (which I personally LOVE!), fabulous grounds and great wines.
We finished our time in the Algarve at the beautiful W Algarve. What an incredible resort! I always enjoy my stays at W Hotels, and this was no exception. Try it, you won’t regret it.
Thank you for an incredible experience! This was my third time visiting Portugal, and each time leaves me wanting more…
