A Colourful Greenhouse Wedding Editorial in Quebec

“I was looking for an original concept and little observed in recent years. Following French blogs I saw weddings in greenhouses or botanical gardens. I loved it and then realized it was a great idea! With a decor like this, couples can enjoy a beautiful decor year-round. Even winter honeymooners can enjoy a warm and colorful place to take photos. Some wedding venue even have a greenhouse in their establishment. We love the decor with beautiful vegetation, flowers, and a beautiful table.”

“We opted for a spring and colourful theme (gold, coral and pale pink and green obviously), combining flowers and fruits.”

“A beautiful macrame cake completed the whole thing perfectly.”

The Cake: “We wanted something elegant with a ‘’boho’’ touch. But we found that the “naked cake” was very popular in the last few years, so we wanted something different, but flawless with the desired style. So they did a macrame on the fondant to create this special design, and they also had a few flowers to create a reminder of the bouquet.”

The flowers and the Place : “The decor of the greenhouse was breathtaking. The diversity of plants, small cacti, everything was brought together for a perfect décor.”

“We provided a few photos of inspiration and Frederic, the florist, read our minds so well. He created the perfect bouquet for this shoot. The colours were exactly like we wanted. Roses, ranunculus, eucalyptus.”

Stationery: “We explain the concept (in a greenhouse with a lot of plants, it’s something that we haven’t see so far in Quebec city). Virginie and her team cream a beautiful kit. We also asked her to create 2 books for the couple’s vows . She also creates an envelope for the confetti, but instead of confetti, we put leaves on it to fit with the shooting style.”
