One walk through of The Miller Lash House was all it took to start arranging an inspirational board in my mind. The cathedral ceilings, romantic fireplace, early 1900s feel is the perfect setting for a same sex- vintage inspiration shoot.
The WPIC team partnered with The Miller Lash House to host a head shot extravaganza for WPIC alumni. The vintage inspired shoot was one of five style shoots the alumni could choose from to get working shots with. The room overflowed with lace, antiques, pearls, and candles. I chose two brides for this shoot, dressed in the newest spring fashions from Sharleez Concept. The gowns were complimented perfectly by the dreamy backdrop Euphoria Wedding Designs staged in the room. The vision for this ‘everything vintage’ style shoot came to life by incorporating all the specific talents of each vendor; and these vendors were responsible for all the beauty captured.
“We used a monochromatic palette of purples – from rich aubergine to medium purple to a soft lavender, which played off the warm antique tones of gold and various shades of ivory. For a little adder interest we included some gold foliage and gold-leafed pears. The addition of pearls to the bouquets and centerpieces reinforced the antique feel of the overall design concept.” Shawna McLachlan – Opulence Wedding Designs
