When we started planning Nicole + Kris’ wedding, we were ALL very excited. They had a vision and everything was going swimmingly until the coronavirus had the nerve to take over the world and ruin millions of people’s wedding day plans.
It MUST be noted, at the positivity, Nicole + Kris had shown throughout it all; beyond inspiring and so admired. They were willing to wait until THE WEEK OF to decide if they were postponing, going ahead, or pivoting. (Now remember, back in June, here in Edmonton, we were still in Phase 1; no gathering over 15 people were permitted.
“Olivia was amazing!! Without her, there is no way my wedding could have happened! She was so accommodating throughout the changes we had to make due to the pandemic. She was incredibly creative when it came to our set up to ensure physical distancing that we actually liked it better than our original plan. We didn’t have to lift a finger when it came to set up and tear down; Olivia really went the extra mile to ensure we could focus on enjoying our day. She answered all of our emails promptly and often times had answers to questions we hadn’t even thought of. Olivia has so many connections when it comes to vendors, that it was so easy to get what we wanted, even setting us up with a choreographer for our first dance routine! She made our wedding so stress-free it was unbelievable. I can’t rave enough about how smooth and easy she made my special day feel!”
Nicole + Kris always envisioned a small, intimate wedding of 22 people. They wanted to share their day with their close friends and immediate family. We immediately went into a backup plan of having a ceremony guest list and a reception guest list, if Phase 2 didn’t happen.
We had some amazing vendors on our team, who were able to work with us and ensure ASH guidelines we’re met.
Phase 2 began June 12, 2020, which gave us the green light to go ahead with the original plan of 22 people, under one roof and made Nicole + Kris’ wedding dreams come true.
