A Taste of Bahamian Hospitality in Toronto; WPIC Attends Exclusive Bahamas Media Event.
Coverage by Tracey Manailescu, WPIC co-founder.
A few weeks ago, WPIC was honoured to attend an exclusive media event hosted by The Bahamas Ministry of Tourism, Investments & Aviation at the stunning Hotel X Toronto.
The event was an elegant celebration of all things Bahamian, filled with vibrant culture, updates from the islands, and exciting networking opportunities.
We were personally invited by Vinincia Strachan, the dynamic General Manager of the Romance Department at the Ministry, who has been a passionate supporter of destination weddings and romance travel to The Bahamas (and she just so happens to be a WPIC alum).
The evening was graciously hosted by The Honourable I. Chester Cooper, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Tourism, Investments & Aviation, along with Latia Duncombe, Director General, who both shared insights into what’s new and noteworthy across The Bahamas’ 16 unique islands.
Guests were treated to a warm welcome and an immersive experience of Bahamian charm.
The cocktails were delicious, the food was scrumptious, and the Junkanoo dancers stole the show with their high-energy performance and vibrant costumes, transporting us straight to the heart of the islands.

This fantastic event only added to our excitement for the upcoming WPIC Certification Course in Nassau, which will take place October 17 and 18, 2025, at the Warwick Hotel in collaboration with The Bahamas Bridal Association.
We’re also thrilled that the Bahamas Tourist Office will be offering site visits and lunch at various luxury properties in Nassau on October 16, as part of this special opportunity.
If this event was any indication of what’s to come, we’re in for something truly spectacular!
