Tool of the Trade: Spray Paint

After spending an entire day spray painting items for a wedding shoot in Rome, I looked at all the items in our office that have seen multiple lives.

Some of the items we regularly change

Its not something we ever talk about, but spray paint is one of our essential tools of the wedding planning trade. We can change almost any item to match multiple clients’ weddings.  A wrought iron cupcake stand in our office has been black, ivory and silver.  Wood table number frames have been natural, white and ivory.  I just sprayed some bouquet memorial frames and a bouquet holder from silver to copper, and the list goes on and on.  I’ve even spray painted macaroons on a display wedding cake!

So my colleagues, the next time you look at an item and say, “If only it came in…” whip out the spray paint!
