Sometimes, okay a lot of the time, it’s difficult to come up with content to post on social media. I’ve come up with ten ideas to help when you just want to show the human side of your business. They are also a great way to grow and foster relationships with your followers.
- Answer FAQ’s in Your Stories. Do you have an FAQ page on your website, or just have things you want potential clients to know about you and your company? Go through them live in your stories over several days, and be sure to save them in your highlights for your followers to view at another time.
- Give Tips or Advice. Don’t be afraid of giving too much away. Your followers will appreciate your openness and willingness to help. It also shows your expertise at the same time. There’s a saying, “Give, give, give and then ask for business.”
- Share a Recent Client or Vendor Testimonial. Share the love. Potential clients want to know that previous clients and wedding professionals enjoyed working with you.
- Tell Us a Funny Wedding Related Story. Bring us into your world by sharing real anecdotes and funny situations that happen during a wedding day or leading up to it.
- Post an Industry Meme (or Create One). Make us smile and/or educate us.
- Tell Us About a Business Accomplishment. Toot your own darned horn! If something wonderful happened, share it. This is where you should be sharing your wedding business accomplishments for all to see.
- Show Us an Inspirational Quote. Sometimes, we all need a pick-me-up. Many will resonate with it. Those that don’t, can keep scrolling.
- Ask a Question of Your Followers. What is stressing them out about wedding planning at this moment? Which wedding pro did they book first and why?
- Share a “This or That” Poll. Could be a choice between outfits for a client meeting, which emergency kit is best, new logo/business card choices, etc.
- Behind the Scenes Photos/Videos. Be more visible. Share a day at the office, wedding rehearsal, prepping the wedding paperwork, site visits, vendor meetings and design/decor selection. Show when you are loading up your vehicle on the wedding day, restocking your emergency kit, wedding dress shopping with your client, wedding day action shots, etc.
