140 characters. Fifteen minutes out of your day is all it needs to take.
Twitter is not meant to toot your own horn…Not all of the time anyway. It is meant to engage your potential clients and colleagues with an insight into you and your company. Twitter is meant to be used in a professional manner, and is also an opportunity to share information and recognize & support others.
*Your Twitter name should match your company name or at least be similar
*Have a professional photo of yourself or your company logo for more business recognition. *Followers are more apt to follow you
*Your Twitter account should be accessible from your website and blog (each blog entry can have a link to share)
*Be consistent. You do not need to tweet everyday, but if you tweet 2-3 times a week one week, do the same every week
*Tweet when you have something interesting to say to your followers
*Engage your followers from time to time. Ask a question to the twitter universe in hopes of a response
*Follow the trends of #WW (Wedding Wednesday) and #FF (Follow Friday). Share your respect and admiration for your peers and great vendors you deal with
*Retweet or respond to a great article or idea posted by someone you follow
“Want more folks to visit your blog? Blog posts shared on Twitter get 117% more page views than those not shared. That’s a big number.” Hubspot Blog
