The Wedding Planners Institute of Canada had a fantastic get together last week at The Sultan’s Tent. We seriously love this venue. Super attentive staff, amazing food, and very unique and detail-rich decor. A special thanks to WPIC’er Jennifer Perusini (VP of Marketing, Events & Sales) for arranging the tour and evening specifically with us in mind.
We started the evening with a tour of BerBer SOCIAL and The Sultan’s Tent. A signature drink and canapés were enjoyed as we listened to the wonderful Arthur Kerekes, WPICC from Fusion Events, discussing “Tips on hiring entertainment for weddings AND technology tools to help you run your wedding planning business and plan weddings”. Then off we went, back upstairs to the dining area at Sultan’s Tent to enjoy a 4 course dinner with belly dancing! We had a great turn out with 33 WPIC Alumni.

Arthur Kerekes, of Fusion Events, lead the crowd in an informative and fun seminar where almost everyone was taking notes on their iPads or smart phones. It was interesting to hear about the perspective of the band when dealing with wedding coordinators for a different spin, and was eye-opening for all in attendance as well. Mr. Kerekes gave a ton of useful apps for a variety of wedding planning situations.
We had the four course menu, and I really can’t tell you which course I enjoyed the most. Tons of delicious food, and Morrocan theme-related.
Then to end the evening right, we had a Belly Dancer teach us some moves. Some brave WPIC’ers are showing off their moves below.
It really was a wonderful night had by all, and we thank everyone who came out to join us. You all contributed to making this event such a great success!
What a great night! It was great to catch up with everyone and hear how 2013 was and take away some really great information from Arthur! Great food and I love the photos! Can’t wait until the next one! Thanks WPIC for having us!
What a fantastic event. Couldn’t be more pleased with the food and service at the Sultan’s Tent. The BerBer Social was absolutely breathtaking. We felt like we walked into Morrocco with all the authentic decor and handmade furniture. Thanks to Arthur for sharing the knowledge at the seminar. Can’t wait to see everybody at our next event! Cheers to 2013!
