We’re back! What a fabulous time we had at Love Mexico. We have tons of memories, new knowledge and photos to take away from this destination wedding expo. Love Mexico was held at the stunning Iberostar Grand Hotel Paraiso on November 30th-December 3rd, 2012. If you missed it, I’ll give you a teaser of a recap. You DON’T want to miss next year. Trust me!!! Producers Kitzia Morales and Araminta (Minty) Castilla and the entire team did an amazing job. The conference was very well organzed. Obviously, this had to do with tireless planning and a great team. Kudos to each of you involved!
Don’t tune out yet, because it gets even better; Danielle and I were asked to be speakers. Oh, yes, indeed 😉
We spoke on the first day about, “Making it an Adventure for Everyone”. We discussed the importance of ensuring that the guests of the wedding are entertained, and included in the festivities. We gave tips on arrival, tours and things to do as a group by embracing the culture of the destination wedding.
Now let’s go back to the beginning…
Attendees were greeted by great staff & an easy process to register and get their badges and bags.
We then had a our Welcome Party that evening. Welcome, indeed!
The next morning was the conference. We heard from some amazing speakers who had some great tips and advice for us. (I actually took a ton of notes, which pleasantly surprised me!)The tradeshow opened up, and WPIC was given a booth to discuss what we do and offer to the attendees, and we had the chance to see what others had to offer.
In the afternoon, I was asked to be a part of the Destiantion Wedding Experts Panel. Some amazing prizes (including 6 vacations) were given out to the winners of the challenge.

We were then whisked away to a dine-around at different properties by Olympus Tours. We were lucky enough to go to The Royal Playa del Carmen for a site inspection and an amazing 5 course meal.
Day 2 were more great seminars and another chance at the tradeshow to speak with suppliers. Then we had to get gorgeous for the closing cocktails by the pool (which included a singer and piano in the middle of the pool!) & then the gorgeous tented gala on the beach.
Then we were called out to the beach to see the fireworks display to end it right, of course, LOL!
If you don’t know Mexico, then I strongly suggest you experience it, ASAP so you can see what all of the fuss is about. There is so much available to offer your clients for destination weddings. Top knotch service, friendly & warm people, high quality venues and vendors who can offer amazing products. The food and sights are rich with flavour and culture. You have to experience it for yourself!
