Wedding Business Reminders
Answer Your Phone/Emails: If you can’t answer your phone, then make sure to respond to voicemails within a timely fashion. Gone are the days of 24-48 hours response time. If you don’t get back to potential clients quickly, then there are plenty of other wedding professionals that will.
Find Your Tribe: Find a group of wedding pros that work with the same ethics and dedication that you do. These people will go above and beyond to make the clients wedding even better than expected. You know that they will deliver great customer service, do and say what they promise, and they will have your back and step in to help, if something goes wrong to help make it right. Teamwork=Dreamwork 😊
Never, Ever Badmouth Another Wedding Professional or Past Client: When you speak badly about someone to make yourself look better, it reflects poorly on you, not them. Stay professional. Save the gossip for your best friends and/or better half. If you are asked point blank about another wedding affiliate, you can say something like this, “I don’t feel that they would be the best fit for you, but I can suggest someone that I feel would be a better fit.”
Stay “WEDucated”: There is so much to learn, and there are so many opportunities to learn what you need to. Whether it is upgrading your skills, getting certified, learning what’s trending, shopping for the best value for your Liability & E & O insurance, adding new services to your business, learning best practices, learning about the newest apps to save you time and money, etc. Attend conferences, take courses, attend industry events and open houses, and invest in yourself! When you take your business seriously, the right people will notice.
Network: There are new faces, products and companies out there. There are also ones that have been around for a long time, but you just haven’t met them yet. Get to know them, it might be a wonderful connection just waiting to happen. Strike up a conversation with the person, or group next to you the next time you are at an industry event. These connections might can turn into really great friendships and may even take your business to the next level.
