What an Incredible Week in The Bahamas!
The WPIC Certification Course at the beautiful Warwick Paradise Island was truly one to remember!
A huge thank you goes out to President, Lesley Pinder and Vice President, Jasmine Wright of the Bahamas Bridal Association for their incredible efforts in organizing, hosting, and managing every detail of this event. We’re also deeply grateful to the Bahamas Ministry of Tourism for your ongoing support. From the site visits and delicious lunches to spreading the word and championing professional wedding education across the islands.
We were thrilled to welcome 25 amazing attendees from across The Bahamas (Nassau, Abaco, Harbour Island, and The Exumas), as well as from Miami, USA and Vancouver Island, Canada. Your energy, professionalism, and passion for the industry made this week so special.
Day 1 began bright and early with an incredible lineup of site visits showcasing the beauty and diversity of Bahamian wedding venues:
🌴 Atlantis Paradise Island – a detailed tour of all properties and their wedding locations, followed by a wonderful spread of food and drinks.
🍹 John Watling’s Distillery– a fun and flavourful mixology lesson and tasting experience. We loved the large lawn for weddings!
🎶 SLS Baha Mar – a standout venue sure to please all with a delicious lunch, live steel pan entertainment, and stunning decor.
🌺 Sapodilla – an elegant gem filled with lush gardens and hidden nooks perfect for intimate celebrations as well as large fetes.
🏛️ British Colonial– timeless elegance and a breathtaking ballroom.
🌊 Margaritaville– lively, modern, and full of Bahamian flair.
🎭 Carnivale– an ultra-modern, vibrant ending to a day of exploration and inspiration. We want to come back to join Salsa night next time!
Days 2 and 3 were filled with learning, sharing, and networking.
We really enjoyed hearing your take on the assignments. Every single one was unique and had influences of Bahamian culture throughout.
A true testament to the commitment of Bahamian wedding professionals to elevate their craft and industry standards.
We loved meeting each and every one of you and were so inspired by your enthusiasm, collaboration, and openness to grow. The future of weddings in The Bahamas is brighter than ever, and we’re so proud to be a part of your journey. 💙
