Florence has always had a way of capturing hearts, but this time, it captured my professional soul, too. My trip for the WIM 2025 conference was the perfect balance of meaningful education, unforgettable experiences, and the kind of simple joys that remind you why you love this industry.
Before the conference even began, we were whisked into an unforgettable evening: a private, invite-only Michelin-star dinner at Atto. If every work trip kicked off with that kind of culinary poetry, I’d never utter the words “I’m tired” again. Jet lag? What jet lag?
Of course, with Florence as our backdrop, the work was beautifully intertwined with play. And I fully committed to the “pleasure” portion of the itinerary:
- 🍨 Gelato and affogatos—strictly for research, of course
- 🍷 Wine windows—yes, they’re real; yes, you knock on a tiny door in a wall; and yes, it is as cheesy, charming, and delightfully touristy as your imagination suggests
Between the sessions, networking, and soaking in the Renaissance beauty, there was space to learn, connect, laugh, and dream up what’s next for our couples and colleagues. Florence invited creativity, conversation, and a deeper appreciation for the work we do.
It was the ideal blend of business and pleasure, the kind that reminds me exactly why I love what I do and why I’m so proud to represent our incredible wedding community on trips like this.
Florence, you were everything.
