WPIC’s Instructor, Dulce Avila, and I had the amazing opportunity to go to the Riviera Maya, Mexico to be apart of the 1st Congreso Latino Americano de Bodas de Destino (Latin American Congress of Destination Wedding Professionals).
The event took place on December 4, 2011 and was held at the Reef Playacar in Playa del Carmen, near Cancun, and included over 100 Destination Wedding Professionals.
Dulce presented the seminar entitled “Planeacià³n y coordinacià³n de bodas de destino exitosas (Planning great Destination Weddings)”.
Other speakers included:
Tom Curtin, President, www.honeymoons.com; Ana Cruz, of Ana Cruz Event Planning and television shows Whose Wedding Is It Anyway and Married Away; Elizabeth Petersen, Director of ABC Capàtulo Jalisco; CamelຠMillà¡n, Director of ABC Capàtulo Latinoamà©rica; Linnyette Richardson Hall, “The Wedding Diva“, Creative Director of Premiere Events; Stephanie Watson CEO of DZS USA; Luz Pencyla, of Luz Pencyla Events; Ilse Diamant, Vice-president of ACIBEP; Arwed Lenz, President of ACIBEP; John Goolsby of Godfather Films; Ed Cotton, Chief Operating Officer, of www.destinationweddings.com; and Chef Christian Bravo.

What a beautiful part of the world for a wedding or for any reason! Was the purpose of this conference to promote weddings at this location specifically? If so, I’m sure many attendees were in favor of that idea. Great place! How romantic!
