Waterfalls, wineries, butterfly conservatory, botanical gardens and romance…Oh my!
Last month, we had the pleasure of being escorted around Niagara Falls to visit some key wedding locations with the lovely and talented, Sue Zareski, the Niagara Parks Wedding and Social Sales Manager (who also just happens to be a WPIC Alumni.)
Let me just say on record, that I don’t recall ever having so much fun on site inspections in my entire life! (I’ve been on quite a few over the last decade, too.)
Niagara Parks Weddings has a great website full of useful tips and locations to get you started. We were lucky enough to go to see these great locations and have a FAB lunch at Elements on the Falls.
Legends on the Niagara
This is a beautiful clubhouse on a golf course. We fell in love the the outdoor patio location overlooking the golf course. Beautiful first impression for the guests. Lots of parking, too. 200 guests.

Butterfly Conservatory & Outdoor Terrace– Here we had a laugh and a half! Beautiful space, but the snake pavilion threw us off. You see, we didnt realize that the snakes were in the cages. We thought they were loose in the pavilion, and couldn’t grasp the concept of why a couple would be okay with that, considering it could be dangerous. (Kim really wasn’t okay with this…) Luckily, Sue Zareski was there to fill us in after Kim’s complete and utter meltdown, LOL!
Edgewaters Restaurant– This venue is just amazing! Right in front of the Falls, a private reception area with a built in tent, on-site catering and fireworks every Friday & Sunday at 10pm from May 17 until September 1, 2013 as part of the Falls entertainment, so no need to hire extra entertainment!!! *Minimum spend applies for Food & Alcohol
Floral Showhouse– Such a pretty spot. Great for smaller parties for a cocktail reception with cruiser tables in and around the floral beds, or move it outside for a larger gathering and great for photos!
Our beautiful orchids. Mine is so much bigger now 🙂
Whirlpool Restaurant – This has such an intimate feel to it. You can totally picture having all of your family and loved ones around you to celebrate the day as it holds 100 guests. Golf course can be used for photos, too! Ceremony can happen onsite, as well. Tons of parking and quite the entrance as you drive up!

Queenston Heights -Beautiful gardens for ceremony (at no extra charge) and a quaint house with an award-winning VQA Wine Collection. Make sure to book the patio for cocktails too for added beauty!(Patio holds 80 people)
Queenston Chapel -For those who still want a church wedding, there is a beautiful recently renovated little church, just minutes away from Queenston Heights. (How convenient!)
We each had our favourites (and we were connected to them for different reasons). Each had a charm to them for different types of couples, budgets and themes. We encourage all of our Alumni to get out to experience these beautiful locations so that you can offer your couples something special and close to home that really would be a beautiful and memorable wedding.
