On January 17th, 2010 Danielle and I went to Palm Beach, Florida to attend “The Wedding Party” at The Breakers. *For those of you who know me, you know that I was just happy to be back in South Florida 🙂 The Wedding Party was put on by Claudia Hanlin & Jennifer Zabinski of “The Wedding Library” in New York.
“Wedding Party” was geared to brides who wanted “the best of the best” looking after their wedding.

The day started off with Check-In where we were greeted by a fabulous Pianist.
We were then escorted in to the ballroom, where we heard the wonderful guest speakers: Martha Stewart Weddings Editorial Director, Darcy Miller; Fashion Designers, Mark Badgley & James Mischka; Cake Designer, Sylvia Weinstock; and Kleinfeld Fashion Director, Randy Fenoli.
Darcy Miller: “Let go, and go with the flow of problems and schedules.” and “The biggest compliment a couple can get is ‘Wow, the wedding really felt like you!’ “
Mark Badgley & James Mischka: “Bridesmaids dresses should be delicious with a red carpet feel that they can wear again”.
Sylvia Weinstock: “Have a civilized event!” “Do what you can afford!” “It is the marriage that counts, so spend wisely!”
Randy Fenoli: Kleinfelds has 35,000 sq. feet and 75 designers to choose from. “Find the dress of your dreams!” and “Make sure that you choose carefully who comes with you to shop for your dress!”
We then were off to our VIP Luncheon with 40 other attendees where Jeff Simms, The Breakers‘ Executive Chef, and his team wowed us with a delicious menu that included Creme Fraiche and Caviar,Crab Cakes, Pomegranate BBQ Short Rib “Martinis’, Crispy Yucca and Red Pepper Aioli. We were then treated to one of the best desserts I have ever had, called “Palm Beach Martini Sundae”! People went wild when they brought these beauties out!
There was a Luxury Wedding Showcase in the Venetian Ballroom, which showed off some of South Florida’s top vendors.

We then got to see a fashion show put on by Kleinfeld’s:

Then the whirlwhind of a day was over.
