To feed or to smoosh? That is the question.
I've never understood the whole "smooshing wedding cake in the face thing". It is such a show of hostility and disrespect for the other person. What a way to start your marriage!
By cutting the wedding cake together, the newlywed couple symbolize their unity, shared future and lives together. Feeding it to each other is a sign of respect and a promise to provide for the other person.
Which would you prefer? A Show of Respect:
A show of Disrespect:
Yeah, me too. Time for this ridiculous "custom" to fade away 😉
