Consistent blog content is so important to us, and we try to post twice a week on the WPIC blog. Sometimes it is so difficult to come up with ideas, and we let it slide and it turns into once a week or every second week. I was reminded just last week again about how important it is for Google analytics and SEO to keep them coming.
Some advice we have heard over and over is when you have some topics in mind, and have some free time, dedicate it to writing blogs. This way you can get three or four done and there is your content for a month.
Here are some topics that you can write about when you are in a bind:
Behind the Scenes
It’s not just for Instagram. Share a day in the life of your business prepping for a wedding or event.
Interviews
Take some time to show some love to your favourite wedding pros and interview them. Let your readers know why they are so great! They are going to share this to their followers and it will get more viewers to your site.
Share Your Favourite Items for a Wedding Day
Emergency Kit items, your shoes, your binder, your headset, your intake forms, etc.
Info-graphics
Create an informative info-graphic and share it to Pinterest too!
Share a Styled Shoot
Describe in detail what went wrong, and how it was corrected. We are all used to pretty pics, but it’s much more interesting to hear how they came about.
Interview Your Wedding Clients
When the whirlwind of the wedding and honeymoon have settled, ask your couples and even their family members for some feedback. What were there favourite moments of the wedding planning process, the wedding day and why they are happy that they hired a professional wedding planner.
Answer Q & A’s
Think about questions that you have been asked over time, and questions you wish you were asked. Answer them.
Event Feedback
Share your thoughts on an event, course or conference that you just attended or participated in. Your readers don’t know all the things that you do to educate yourself and grow your business. Success doesn’t just happen overnight. Let them know how hard you have worked and how much time you invest in learning and growing your business.
I hope that these ideas helped you. Let me know if you have any other suggestions in the comments below!
